This was the
poster for the film "I Can Blow Up Planets Too!?"
There is an old belief in film that you
never put a question mark at the end of the title of the film.
It is said to bring bad luck.
Apparently, this was the case with this
film, as it was never completed. The only thing I carried away
from it was a Leica Reel.
At the time, it was a devastating blow
to my artistic ego. I think it's one that I truly deserved. There
are many things that I learned from it.
Lesson 1: Don't animate something you can
barely draw, it's just stupid.
Lesson 2: Don't make a six minutes student
film, that's even more stupid.
Lesson 3: Don't be a perfectionist, it will
ruin your life, eat up all your time and send
your stress level through the roof. It is the ultimate stupidity.
The negative effects of this film still
haunt me to this day, but I think that I learned a very valuable
lesson from it all. I am always under the pressure that I must
redeem myself because of this film.
I would like to remake it in Flash someday. |
