Because I have no idea what I'm doing either

Welcome to the Gallery Info section of the gallery where I explain the stuff you already knew for double redundancy just because knowledge is power and getting the same dose of power over and over again makes one go insane over time.

Nah, actually, the point of this page is to explain new features or changes to the Gallery's interface, as opposed to new art, which should explain itself in theory. So without further delay:

Art Prism: That big colorful thing to the right that appears only on the Gallery pages is the Artprism. Just click on the images or the title, and it'll take you to the respected page. This menu will change on regular intervals when new material is produced and become more developed with time.

I'm testing what works, so entire galleries might change category or combine at some point in the future, the Character Gallery and Miscellaneous are prime candidates for this, as their potential material is borrowed by other galleries, which makes them very small.

Chain Thumbnails: This system might seem rather novel at first, but it has a very practical function. The end of every piece of my work is the beginning of a new one, by following the chain, you can see how such things as my character designs and skill change with time. The newest images are on the top of the pages. When you click on the thumbnail, it will lead to a page with a brief explanation of the piece in inquiry, just because loading times are only dwarfed by watching paint dry in the boredom factor.

Related styles, themes and characters will be linked together. Sometimes, seemingly unrelated images will link together to form a story. For example, Squi of the evil Squid Force is a very close friend of Xynthica, much like Kibsy and Rally, she is one of her three monster companions, but the sequence of images that connect them have not been drawn as of yet. Everything is connected in one way or another in the Xyniverse, except maybe the Suicidal Anime Girls, that's out on a limb.

Later on when enough Manga work is done, it will have a more important function.

Commentary: Most of the images have commentary on them when you click on the thumbnail. I tend to write a lot, so please never feel obligated to read the entire thing. If I were you and you had a slow internet connection, I would just read it up until the loading finished to kill time. Here at Xynthica, we know that your time is valuable, and like all things valuable, we're gonna' try and steal it every chance we get.

There is some very strange details in the commentary at times, it's not always about the art or the story.]

Oh! Yes, just for reference, since I'm always smacking my head against the grind stone of imagination, the commentary written to accompany each image is specifically related to the time in which the image was produced. In other words, just as my drawing style improves and changes with rather steady frequency, the story of my characters and my opinions often change as well, so think of the commentary as a journal or a diary that reflects the state of mind I was in when I wrote it. It would be a will breaking inconvenience if I had to update all of the dialogue if I ever wanted to change will tiny little detail in the story, but I don't think people who visit my site are exactly fanatical about finding contradictions in my fictional stories as much as in my fact based essays, so I'm really just writing this to make myself feel better in the case that I have to bite my tongue later.

I'll write the complete solid story, eventually, but eh, the Xynthica story has endured over ten thousand alterations since I was in elementary school to now, so I'm not expecting it to fixate anytime soon. It will be a heart breaking experience the day I finally have to make the final draft, but it's amazing how a writer's eyes change when they grow and mature, and I only hope to see more of this beautiful and ugly world.
