Every so often, I do occasionally draw a character without a background story in hopes of improvising some time later in the future. Punchy is one of those characters. Her design is based on one of Phia's rejected designs, but I wanted a character in an action pose for an exercise. Of course, I should have roughed out the pose and line of action a bit better, since the position of the legs is quite wrong, but that's besides the point. The point is that I'm going to pull a random story out of my hat as I write this.

Let's see... Punchy, who's name is most likely to change in the future, is Phia's martial arts rival. Unfortunately, since Phia could give a damn about the life of a martial artist, she's completely oblivious to her rival, despite beating her multiple times in tournaments, usually in the name of anger management.

Unlike Phia, Punchy is a very dedicated fighter who trains day and night using ridiculous methods, such as tying herself to the back of a truck and being dragged for ten kilometers or lifting trees out of the ground. Although strong willed, she's really an aggressive and competitive girl who has apparently taken out all of the fun of the concept of beating someone's face in with your bare hands, an activity that is often thought of as being fun by the vast majority of the Xyniverse.
