Sylis is like a big sister to Xynthica, and gives her "hand me downs", more often than not, the result is a ten year old girl wearing a tight black leather clad bra, steel chains and other fetish wear, which Xyni apparently doesn't seem to think is odd.

You might be wondering how Sylis and Xyni became such good friends when Sylis is clearly evil incarnate and Xyni is not so evil. Well, first of all, you have to remember that Xyni is considered by the Amaranis Order, the "good guys" of the Xyniverse, to be evil, being the daughter of Zephos and all. As the old saying goes, "An enemy of my enemy is a friend".

Sylis took it upon herself to enlighten Xyni to ways of the world. She doesn't try to break Xynthica down as much as Zephos does, but she does skew Xyni's perspective quite a bit in a dark, evil way. How Xyni manages to stay neutral and innocent instead of becoming a universal wrecking ball of death and destruction is any one's guess.

Xyni helped Sylis out of a particularly nasty jam when she was completely drunk, that is how they first met. They met in a bar when Xyni was trying to get some beer for Kibsy and Sylis just happened to be killing people wholesale style.

As for Sylis' personality, she can read people extremely well, and like a chameleon, acts exactly in a way that would make them feel at ease. She lies, betrays and manipulates even those close to her, but as Xyni learned with time, Sylis is just playing a game, she does this to everyone, so don't take it personal. If you do it back to her, she only respects you more.
