This was my first attempt at a "Super Deformed" style Xynthica drawing in a long time, I'd say the face is about right, but the arms and legs could use quite a bit of work, but it wasn't bad for a single run take. It was the first drawing in my new carry on sketchbook. Those things are nice and compact, but the large width of the book makes it painful and awkward to draw, with your hand always scrapping the the thick edge and the paper being too small to utilize your shoulder and arm control, so I try not to do any serious works on pads like that.

Sometimes I wonder about whether I should use the term "Chibi" or "Super Deformed". Chibi is a lot like otaku, in Japan, it has negative connotations similar to that of runt or brat, but when otaku started using it all the time, it lost it's connotation and started to just really refer to this compact style of drawing. Then again, a term like "Super Deformed" sure sounds pretty weird if you ask me. I personally don't dot my language with too many Japanese originating buzz words unless there is absolutely no English substitute.
