It is often though that if it weren't for Zephos' traumatic ridicule and abuse towards Xyni, Xynthica might have become a hero of heroes, a shinning light of passion, a savior of the weak, and could have at least saved the world a couple thousand times. That being said, she is not, and now you know who to blame.

Zephos Amaranis, who is basically an exaggerated version of myself, is Xyni's father. Unfortunately, he's not a very good one. Scratch that, he's the worst father you could imagine, he actively tries to kill Xyni during her childhood every chance he gets, and when that doesn't work, he verbally assaults her in a very direct, belittling way that would make just about any normal little girl jump into a well and drown herself. If that wasn't bad enough, he's also an alcoholic. Strange though, he's actually much nicer when he is drunk.

Zephos was at one point, married to the Goddess Gity, but like all relationships between divine powers, someone is gonna' get cast down to a very hot and very nasty place

Before he had his powers destroyed by Gity's Prism Feather, an attack that completely erases one's innate Source, usually killing them. Zephos was pretty much the second most powerful being in the Xyniverse. However, during one very faithful night, when his marriage was at the pinnacle of suckiness, he found a way to possess the ultimate power and destroy his ungrateful wife.

The plan was a massive failure however, and as a result, he lost all of his powers, was cast down to the darkest, most miserable place imaginable and had to take care of his newly acquired daughter all by himself. To make matters worst, when Gity learned that he was still alive, she decided to hunt him down and kill him, because there are only two ways to get out of a marriage, and divorce just wasn't good enough. As a result of this, Zephos and Xyni are constantly on the run.

He'd just love to slit his throat and call it a life, but he's almost immortal, only Gity can kill him, since she cursed him, so he vents all his fury and anger in the world at poor little Xyni.

One interesting fact about Zephos is that he really hates anime/manga and especially hates otaku. Whenever he sees Xyni reading manga or playing video games, he throws her through a glass window.

Zephos also has a vendetta with Kibsy, who tries to protect Xynthica and effectively tries to eat Zephos if he is being mean to Xyni.
